Custom Plastic Injection Molding Services
For over 75 years, Cary Products has delivered custom plastic injection molding to manufacturers across the automotive, HVAC, energy, agriculture, construction, and commercial industries. Operating from our ISO 9001:2015-certified facility in Hutchins, Texas, we produce precision plastic components from prototype runs to sustained high-volume production, all under one roof and one quality standard.
When you work with Cary Products, you are working with a manufacturer that controls every stage of the process: design, tooling, production, inspection, and delivery. That accountability is built into everything we do.
Injection Molding Equipment & Capacity
Our injection molding floor operates 28 CH-America machines, one of the most capable fleets in the region for custom plastic manufacturing.
Machine Specifications
- Number of machines: 28
- Tonnage range: 97 to 700 tons
- Shot sizes: Up to 104 ounces
- Equipment vintage: Models from 2018 to 2022
- Features: Hydraulic ejection systems, core pull capabilities, and air options for complex mold designs
This range of clamping force and shot capacity means we can produce both small, precision-toleranced components and large structural plastic parts within the same facility. Projects do not outgrow us – whether the requirement is a short prototype run of a few hundred parts or a sustained production run in the millions.
Quick Mold Changes & Short Cycle Times
Efficiency on the production floor translates directly to lead time and cost for our clients. Our team is trained for rapid mold changeovers, and our scheduling process is built to minimize machine idle time without compromising quality or inspection protocols.
Materials We Process
Cary Products processes a wide range of engineering-grade thermoplastics to meet the performance requirements of each application and industry. Commonly processed materials include:
- ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene): General-purpose structural and cosmetic applications
- Polypropylene (PP): Chemical resistance, flexibility, and automotive applications
- Nylon (Polyamide): Strength, heat resistance, and wear applications
- Polycarbonate (PC): Impact resistance and optical clarity
- Polyethylene (PE): Chemical resistance and low-friction applications
- Additional materials available: Contact our engineering team to confirm compatibility with your application
Material selection affects tool design, cycle times, shrinkage behavior, and finished part performance. Our engineering team works with clients during the design phase to specify the right material for the application, including the production environment, temperature range, regulatory requirements, and end-use conditions.
Tooling Capabilities
Cary Products operates an in-house tool room equipped to handle a wide range of tooling needs, from new production molds to repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance. For projects where in-house tooling is the right fit, our team manages the entire process under the same roof as production, keeping timelines tight and communication direct.
For projects with specialized tooling requirements, we also work with trusted external tooling partners. In either case, our team manages the process and maintains the same quality standards from tool design through production delivery.
Our in-house tool room is equipped with:
- CNC milling and lathes
- 5-axis CNC routers
- CNC EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining)
- Surface grinders
- Bridgeport mills
- CAD/CAM software
Whether tooling is produced in-house or sourced externally, Cary Products remains the single point of contact for the project. Our Quality Assurance team oversees all tooling maintenance and ensures molds are maintained to extend their service life and protect your production investment.
Serving Clients Worldwide
Cary Products is proud to partner with some of the industries leading international businesses. Our staff is committed to maintaining our ISO 9001:2015 certification but continually improving our services to ensure everything meets international quality standards. Whether you are a small business or a multinational enterprise, we have the skills, advanced technologies, and dedication to excellence to transform your ideas.
Design for Manufacturability
Every injection molding project at Cary Products begins before the first part is molded. Our engineering team reviews client designs for manufacturability, evaluating wall thickness, draft angles, gate locations, parting lines, and material behavior before tooling is committed.
This front-end investment protects clients from costly revisions. Catching a design issue during the review stage costs a fraction of catching it after tooling has been cut.
Services available during the design phase include:
- 3D CAD modeling and design review
- Design-for-manufacturability (DFM) analysis
- Metal-to-plastic conversion engineering
- Prototyping and design iteration
- Tooling design integrated with part design from the start
Quality Management
All injection molding production at Cary Products operates under our ISO 9001:2015-certified Quality Management System. ISO 9001:2015 is not a label. It is a documented, auditable framework that governs how every part is designed, produced, inspected, and delivered.
Our quality process includes:
- In-process inspections at defined production intervals
- First article inspection (FAI) on new tooling and program launches
- Dimensional verification against engineering drawings
- Material traceability documentation
- A dedicated Quality Assurance team overseeing production and tooling standards
For automotive, energy, and industrial OEM clients who require consistent, auditable output, our quality system is built to meet those expectations without exception.
Industries & Applications
Our injection molding capabilities serve manufacturers across a wide range of industries. Each requires different part geometries, material performance standards, and production volumes, and our equipment and team are built to handle the full range.
- Automotive & MVAC: Air movement components, louvers, interior and underhood parts
- HVAC & Commercial: Custom enclosures, ducting components, and precision plastic parts
- Energy: Durable plastic components for industrial and energy sector equipment
- Agriculture: High-volume parts built for demanding field and equipment environments
- Construction: Custom plastic building components and mechanical system parts
